Description

Wired. This is a project me and my friend Rasmus Jensen made during two weeks in february 2010. The project is a school assignment in wich we were tasked to illustrate an essay writen by Donna Harroway called "the cyborg manifesto". Donna Harroway writes about the relationships between people and machines and our modern society and ask what a cyborg really is. The game is inspired by the questions that arose during a seminar after we finished reading the manifesto (pro tip: it's heavy reading) and a few of us discussed the text afterward aswell. The game does not present a lot of dialouge or conventional storytelling, the only communication between the game and player is a console window in wich the main character recieves commands (and error reports). The main gameplay consists of some platforming and mainly of getting from one point to another, the gameplay is linear, the story however is not. We leave to the player to figure out what story we wish to tell with this small game. Note: The game was made using Game Maker 8.0 during a period of two weeks, some bugfixes and tuning have been made afterwards but it's basicly the same game we finished for our assignment. Enjoy!
