Description

One man, trapped in a world struck by nature's vengeance, wandering the lands looking for... something.

What is technology good for now? And what good is nature for?

Where is the man going? Why is he going there? And most important: in a world where nature striked back, what is it he so desperately searches for but can't seem to find, no matter where he looks?

Getting the loading time down was one of my top priorities, and i tried to alleviate it a bit with the coffee cup and the clock showing it would take something like 2 minutes 40 seconds. I made the background in Photoshop, since I wanted more control over the graphics. The first test, with the entire background put in the same room, gave me an insane loading time of 10 minutes 50 seconds (it takes less than 5 seconds to open it in Windows image viewer!). But yes, I know the current loading time is still way too long. I shaved time off by cutting the image up into four rooms and loading the music from files. I'll try loading the background image from a folder the next time too though, thanks for the tip!

Cool game, great to see more game maker users :P

Got some insane loading time tough.

Looks like the ground with grass and road is some kind of bitmap or jpg file, and i think that is the cause of the long loading time.

Try and load the background images from folders, instead from inside the game, it will cut out a lot of the loading time :P
