GAME CRASH
platform, shoot-em-up, arkard, 1-4spelare coop

The year is 1983, Atari has released a long row of bad games, and people are mad about it. An angry mob is sourronding the Atari headquarter, and they want their money back. You are working as a police and today your job is to protect the building and the people in it. Survive until the backup shows up and shoot down any maniacs that breaks into the building. Hmm.. What is that strange stuff they are hiding in the basement??

Yep! Camping is our game's biggest weakness, we are gonna fix that to our xbox-release.

Hehe, nice score! :) And yes, I agree with your rant. A more friendly error message with some instructions on how to obtain the redist would be nice. I don't know if it's possible to catch if the user has the framework installed or not, but maybe one should look into that.

Thanks for trying out the game!

3760p, but I was using a exploit/trick, if you stand agains the left wall at the top floor and just hold space you'll do pretty well, the only thing that can hurt you is the stones that comes through the windows.

I don't get it.. why does the application just crash when XNA framework stuff isn't installed on the computer? Can't it inform me that I have to install the required files?
Maybe that's something developers have to do but I really don't see why they couldn't have designed the xna library so that it would check and report.
XNA boasts of making it easier for the developers, but what about the users?

I mean common, I don't think many users would go: "oh the application crashed, I probably need the XNA framework redistributable".

The idea is probably that the games should come with installation programs, and that these installations should check if xna framework is installed or not. It's stupid..

Anyway, cool and simple game, funny too.
Well done.

cool hehe didnt have time to reach at the end sprint of the development =)
But i do know before in xna 1.0 and 2.0 there was problems and such surrounding witch files you were allowed to include and not and there wasnt really a redist. I mearly took the "safty" of just linking the original download page instead of shipping it.

Will not happend again =)

I don't want to be an asshole, but here's what that page says: "The XNA Framework Redistributable download provides game developers with the XNA Framework run-time libraries they can include with their product for redistribution on Windows XP and Windows Vista." Notice the "Include with their product" part. I think that would have been a very good idea indeed. But hey, I already played the game, it's just all the other lazy bastards you have to worry about, eh :) Hopefully more people will play it now that you have posted that link, though. Put it in the description as well.
