The deadline for submission is set to May 29. Before you submit your game, there are a couple of things that you should include.
You should have the following:
- The game
- A document describing:
- Brief intro of the game and its features (optional)
- How to install/start your game (.pdf or .doc)
- Trailer (optional)
- 1-3 In-game screenshots.
- Material for Best Scenario category (optional) More information: http://gameawards.se/categories
All of the above must be compressed to one file (.zip or .rar) with the game name as file name.
Note: Upload your file as early as possible to avoid problems that might occur with over 100 entries uploading at the same time.
Upload the file with a ftp client (e.g. Filezilla) to our ftp (ftp.gameawards.se) before 23:59 on May 29. Username and password to the ftp can be found through the submission form for your entry. (The submission form itself does NOT need to be submitted.)
Upload the games to the folder “incoming”.
The ftp is write only, and uploaded files cannot be changed. If you must change anything, contact email@example.com and upload a new file with the changes made.
When the upload is completed, don’t be alarmed if you can’t view your uploaded file in the ftp folder. This is how it’s supposed to be. We will post a list here on the site where we confirm all uploaded entries and where we later will confirm which games we’ve successfully installed.
We recommend everyone to distribute all dependencies with your game. The days before the jury weekend, we will try all games and see if they run on each platform. If we have trouble running your game, we will contact you to resolve any problems.
Either distribute the game as a zip file or an installer. (Include dependencies!)
