What is the Concept Document
A concept document is a short document that explains your game in less than one page. When writing a concept document it’s important to describe mainly game play while story makes up a very small portion of this document or none at all. Graphic feel and layout are best presented as appendixes. There are no limits to the amount of concept art as appendixes.
It can be quite advantageous to cover the following in your concept document.
- Platform
- Genre
- Game mechanics
- Goal of the game
- What is the target group for this game
- Requirements (gamepads, 3D glasses, special hardware etcetera.)
Your Concept document is submitted through the “home” section of your control panel. Click edit on your game to find the upload function.
